Hi,

IDOC --- Intermediate Documents which can be compared to a flat file structure, these are proprietory SAP Format for transferring of business data either within SAP Systems or amongst business partners. IDOCs are used in EDI and ALE applications.

For further informations on IDOC, refer to SAP Library.

You can also refer to tx. we60 for documentation of any message type.

Hi,

Using LSMW you can upload info. with BAPI, for which you`ll have to inbound partner profiles and port definitions. It is again nothing much but upload of data using IDOC, you read it from a flat file and then build it as IDOC Structure. After this using LSMW through BAPI, you upload the data.

Various transactions that are used in this scenario are : LSMW, WEO2,WE05, WE20,WE21,FILE,etc.,
