IDOC - Data Records ( One or Multiple)

From the WE02 Transaction, I have found out the the IDOC type that I am using.

And how should I know whether my IDOC TYPe has been defined to store ONLY ONE Data Record or to store Multiple Data Records? Where can I find this information.

Also on what situation, I will be using multiple Data Records?

Go to we60 transaction which give the information of each segment.

YOu can go to we30 and double click on the segment you want.

YOu can see the max occurances and minimum occurances of that segment.

But an idoc will have only one document(Although it may have multiple line items and segments with multiple occurances).

Hi Mohan,

IDOC comprises of segments.

Each segment has the occurence i.e cardinality value associated with it.

You can check the same by double clicking on any of the segment in WE30. Just check minimum and maximum number.

Go to Transaction WEDI :- IDOC Administration

Development------>IDOC Types

double click on idoc type

enter the idoc name it will give u that cardinality of the segments in the idoc.

it even gives how many time data will be repeated.

Hi Mohan

You can do these settings like mandatory segement / occurances of segment in WE30 transaction.

one and multiple records depends on scenarios for example header and details etc.

Parent child relations is defined WE30 and same can be found from tables to know how may child segments available for one parent segment.

HELLO friends ok we can find out how many times a segment can occur but could somebody please tell me how it can be used multiple times in LSMW;
