Can anybody tell me please, what is the use of PA30?

Hi Shaheen,

PA30 transaction is used to maintain HR Master data for a person. In the transaction u need to enter the Personnel number on the screen and then you can maintain the Basic Pay, Organizational Assignments and various other characteristics for that person.

Suppose I'm in PA30 window and I wan to veiw the basic salay of the employee, how can I view it.

u have to know the INFOtype name , for basic u have to use INFOTYPE 8.

in PA30 give EMP number and Infotype = 0008.

PA30 is for maintaining HR Master data

and PA20 is for Display of HR master data

if you are an ABAPer, you will get all the required information for a employee in this Transaction. you have to enter the employee number and should choose the relavant infotype to get the details of that employee in the given infotype.
