Hi Karnan,
Material MATNR already having search help on material description(ECC 6 version ) . Search help name MAT0M.
Collective search help S_MAT1 assigned to MATNR . If you want add custom search help to it then use APPEND Search Help option (Path SE11 -> Search Help ->Goto ->Append Seachhelp)
