Hi,

GO TO WE31 tcode

enter the segment name

You will see the fields in that segment

then against the field change or create a new field

Thanks &regards,

Hi ShreeMohan,

In WE31, I still cannot make the change. Then i cancelled released and it goes to CHange mode.

After i make the change, how do i activate so the new change is effective ?

Q: Do one actually need to set release and cancel release after adding a new field to the segment type ?

thanks

Hi Joyce,

Yes you have to cancel release and then make necessary changes to the segment and once the changes are confirmed then you will have to again set release, if you dont do the set release, you might get a syntax error when the idoc is created.
