I got a requirement to create report but i don't have FSD and TSD my RM told me to first prepare a high level design document.

i don't know what the information contains in high level design document

I guess you can find many materials in the Web to help you build a template that suits your need.

Hi,

The Functional specification should come from the business consultant who asked for the report. A can get more templates from search. However, you may come up with following points as a high level document. Since it is a report program - write following points

  • Selection Parameters
  • Output layout
  • Header Section
  • Detail Section
  • Top of Page
  • Bottom of Page
  • Logic to Fetch the data from tables ( Master - Header - Items etc)
