you can not print samrtforms on the dot matrix printer... like SAP Script can...

also while peinting on preprinted stationary SAPScript is the better choice...

Smart Forms offers the following advantages:

· Creating and maintaining forms requiring half the time

· Adapting forms without any programming knowledge due to entirely graphical user interface

· Integrating input elements into the HTML output, which enables you to use a form in Internet applications as well

Disadvantages:

You cannot use several output formats with the same form at the same time.

Text and data that do not fit into the secondary window are truncated and not displayed

Disadvantages,

1) Labels cannot be created in smartforms.

2)Unlike sapscripts (RSTXSCRP), you cannot upload/download Smartform to your local harddisk.

3)The protect and endprotect command in sapscript doesn't work with smartforms. For example on a invoice: First data of position no 80. is printed on page one, other data of position no 80 is printed on page 2.

Hi,

If you have errors in your smartforms and you click on the link to position yourself at the error, it won't work in all cases...
