Hi Kevin,

Let's divide your question into two parts.

For the first part - The user is basically a user of the system. But the role will dictate the functionality and hence whether the user is a Functional guy or a technical guys will have the same set of authorization profiles. Basically the technical person will have full access of the system in the Development System but after that he will be having limited access.

When the SAP goes to the production system and usually goes to go live we will restrict the end users who are basically the normal users and usually not a super user of the system.

For the second part - After the GoLive i.e the production system with the actual system is implemented at the customer site end support and production support is provided. This is usually a ongoing operation with constant monitoring and support. The organization which implemented SAP usually handles any issues regarding post production implementation.

Thanks,

Samantak.
