Will it allow you to change the directory entry? Go to SE38, enter the program name, from the menu, click Go To, Object Directory Entry, click the change/display button, change the development class or package to a transportable development class. Now you should be able to assign a transport request.

Ok, do you want to delete the object from the change request? You can do this via Se10. Once you delete it from the change request, you should be able to do anything you want with it. Do you know what change request that the object is currently tied to? If not, Go to SE10. Click the icon for Transport Organizer Tools. Now click on "Search for objects in requests/tasks". Once you have found the request, you can then delete the object from it. In the Transport Orgainzer Tools, Use the "Find Requests" tool. Enter in the request number, now expand the results to find the object. Righ-click on it and choose delete.

No I don;t want to delete that object. Just i want to do some changes in that object. Is that possbile without deleting that object's change request, i want to modify that object. Can i do this by modifying the Owner of the object.........

You will not be deleting the object, just deleting it from the other owner's change request. The change request has not been released, right? If so, then you can just delete it from that request, when you try to change the program then, it will ask you for a new request, you can then create your own. You could try to change the owner of the request, but I'm not sure if it will solve your problem or not. Give it a try.

It's not allowing me to Delete the object. It's saying that Owner of the object can do Changes to this request.......

Hi.

Try this, change owner of the request to yourself, by positioning on the task and pressing F5, then try deleting it again. It should let you delete it now.

Don't delete anything.

Just go to se38 give your prog name and get your present request name and enter inside abap editor and select environment menu --> go to transport organizer it'll go organizer screen give your new created request name double click your request enter

short description - program ,

progr - R3TR ,

Object name - Your program name

save and activate.

now you can transport with this new created request.

your required program available for new request

Hi Subashini,

I had faced a similar problem. Here are the steps I followed:

Place the cursor on the request and press F5. It will ask for a new owner, assign your userid to it.

Now you can delete the task from the request.

Local change request cannot be trasnported as you must be knowing. Now if you want to transport the object, you should assign it to a package which is transportable OR ask your basis person to add the package assigned to the program to the trasnport layer.

Since this is a standard program you wont be able to change the package name(object directory entry). So the ultimate solution is to ask your Basis person to create a transport layer for transporting SAP Standard object.

Hope it helps....

Lokesh

Pls. reward appropriate points

Hi Subashini,

Try this, in the Local Change Request, specify the TARGET SYSTEM and then try modifying the program.

Thanks

Change the owner of the request to you, now delete it off of the request. Now go and change the object as you need. System will ask for a change request. Create one.

Questions.

How did someone change this standard program, as it doesn't appear to be a user exit include? Did you get a access key when you changed it?

Go to SE10, press the F5 key and enter the request number. Now double click on the header of the request(the number at the top of the hierarchy). In the pop-up what do you see as your target system? If this target system is not the normal target system(typically your QAS system should be the target system), then someone used a temporary target system that is not in the transport path.

Hi

Yes it is!

If you delete an object from request or you delete the whole request, you won't lose the modifications you have done.

You should only insert your program in a new request if you want to transport your modification.

there is no transport system for this request. It is an local change request for the object Lv45cf0a & LISTVBAP & SD_LIST_REFERENCE_Document. These 3 standard objects are modified by someother developer To achieve popup window will giving when enter value in Sold-to-party in Va01, to get existing Active contract details popup. Now i need to add another field into this Popup window. So i need to include code for this extra field in 3 objects.

3 objects are in 3 different request

the problem arises only when you miss any request(to tranport).to avoid you can merge the all 3 requests into one request.

for merging you create one request and add all requests to one request using merge option in the menu.

Hi Subhashini,

Since it is only a local request, I woould suggest this..

Write a small ABAP program to update the E070 table entries for this transport request and see if you can change the ownership to yourself, change the target system etc..

Then that is your problem. Please follow the steps below.

Go to SE10. Press F5. Enter the request number.

Place the cursor on the request number and "change owner". This is a button with two triangles one yellow and other red in color. You will see "a" in first triangle and "b" in the second one. Change the owner to yourself.

Now double click on the request number.

You should see the following fields.

"Request"

"Short Description"(editable)

"Owner"

"Source Client"

"Status"

"Target"(editable)

"Last Changed"

Under the "Target", do the drop down and pick up the value that is there.

Save and now you are ready to change and transport.

I thought she mentioned earlier that she was unable to change the ownership of the request to herself...

That is then a permissions issue. All she had to do is to ask the basis to change the ownership to her id, if she cannot do it.
