Handling Error message in BSP

Hi Experts,

I am facing a problem in handling a error message in my Business partner transaction.

I am doing some check in my BP transaction with the help of a BADI. Now if the check fails I have to give a error message on the screen.

I am giving the error message as

Message 'No authorization' TYPE 'E'.

The thing works fine in SAP-GUI, but problem is in PCUI.

In PCUI the message is coming but it is coming in form of dump which is not what is required. Actually we want that the cursor should remain on the screen without maiking any changes.

Is there any way to handle this messge through modification .

Help will be appreciated.

Hi ,

which BADI , and method u are using ? have u seen any parameters for ERROR LOG or MSG in export/change parametrs ?.If not then raise Info Msg and doont allow the user to save that BP.

Hi ,

I am using BADI--- BUPA_ROLES_UPDATE

There is no parameter for error log in import/export.

If i raise a messge of TYPE 'I ' ( Info) then also there is a dump coming in PCUI.

Can you suggest a way around?
