Other reasons could be:

Problems with your SAPGUI version. When you installed the present GUI, did you make sure to uninstall the older version? SAPGUI 640 can create problems if you do not uninstall previous versions before installation. I suggest you try uninstalling and re-installing.

Also, is this error appearing only for you? If it occurs for all users, you might need to check with Basis if the required permissions for the graphical painter have been assigned.

Hope this helps.

Hi k chandra,

1. I supppose, the alphanumeric

screen painter comes up.

2. When it comes up,

UTILITIES------>SETTINGS

3. a new window will come

TICK the chekbox for

'Graphical Layout Editor'

4. Then try, it will work.

5. If still it does not work,

then another problem could be

SAP GUI Installation.

6. When installting sap gui,

we have to select the component for

Screen Painter GUI.

(Probabably it was not selected when

installing on your machine)

7. Then it will come.

Hi,

during the installation of GUI, in start up you didn't select the 'DEVELOPMENT TOOLS' check box.

Install the GUI again and select 'Development Tools' option when starting installion. It will resolve your issue.

Hi Chandra,

go to Start->Run type GNEUX and press enter, if the screen painter doesnot appears then you need to install it again else there is some local setting problem.

Hope this helps.
