Graphical Screen Painter

Hi Experts,

I need to design screen. when i use Layout in Se51 tcode system gives "Graphical Screen Painter is not avaliable. Continue with Alphanumeric Editor?" What is the problem? How to resolve it?

I already check the Graphical Screen Editor checkbox under SETTINGS also. still the same message is coming..

I faced the same problem. Then what I did is I loaded the SAP GUI again and my problem is solved. WHy cant you also try this?

But i am working on Client development server.that is the problem..

Before giving complaint i am searching for ant other avaliable options

Hi

Did you install the graphical screenpainter? Before you installed SAPGui 6.4, did you run SAPSweep.Or while installing the GUI u have not clicked the option to install screen painter . Now run the setup for screen painter by clicking screen painter option. There is no need to reinstall whole of gui.

Hi,

Even i had the same problem . Try reinstalling SAP. While installing expand all the groups and check all might be this may be missed out..It will work for sure after reinstalling.

Hi,

This is generally a patch problem when the Software got loaded.Just try loggin off and on again it works some times. In any case try your hand at Alphanumeric editor it can help you in worst cases.

HI,

Its a problem with the GUI installation... You uninstall and again reinstall... Even then if you face the problem then uninstall and if any new version available go with it or if you have only one version then Goto REGEDIT and delete the DLL's and Configurations logs and install again freshly..

Be careful while deleting DLL's in REGEDIT..

IF you know you do it or else dont TOUCH THAT.

Better than the best go for the new version if you are using old which would definitely help you.

*If you are working in Client System then cross check with Basis Team..

Or

Check the patch level of your GUI and download a new patch and install it.. This will also solve your issue..*

check for .dll file.. If that is missing while installation you wll get this kind of problems.
