why is golden client "configuration only client " and why is unit testing client "transaction only client"? Will the CTS simultaneously transfer configuration to unit testing and QAS systems? At what point is the configuration transferred to Productive System?

Its your organization that is setup like that.. you cant expect every company to be in the same way... I saw a company which have sandbox completely separate..config client out of DEV and Quality..

so is the decision of how and when the configuration should be transfered from one client to another is also flexible i.e will it vary from one company to another... and will the basis people decide this?

the configuration transport will be based on the functional person.. once he decides to move.. he email the basis person to move the transport. and he moves it.. the required client.
