Hi KC,
That is because BESG is a cluster table and you cannot use a JOIN on that. PL use the secondary index tables BSID & BSAD ( for open & cleared items )..

hi suresh,
thanks for your quick reply,
you mean to say,
search all the required fields of BSEG from BSID&BSAD tables? and inner join BSIS with BSID & BSAD, instead of BSIS?

kc

Hi ,
like Vijay mentioned BSIS is an index of BSEG... whatever is in BSEG will also be in its INDEX tables.. ie BSIS, BSIK, BSAS, BSAK. ( BSID & BSAD for sales items).. it depends on your requirement.. but certainly you don't need to join BSEG & its index tables.. pl state your requirement.

Hi
you can proceed with suresh logic, you search for the fields required in BSID and BSAD and populate the data using join .
please tell your requirement...
that will be more clear..

Hi
what is your requirement...
INDEXES of BSEG table
BSIS, BSIK, BSAS, BSAK.
BSEG and BSIS why are you joining...
BSIS is index of BSEG and you cannot use joins on cluster table.

hi vijay,
thanks for your quick reply,
i'm preparing a reports, fields from bsis and bseg database tables,
and,my select statement giving error, saying that cluster table can't be joined,
my problem is,how to write the select statement without inner join those tables,is there any alternative,
i heard there is 'select for all entries',but i don't know proper usage of that addition,
regards,
kc
