Function Module to find Opening & Beginning stock

Hello All,

Is there any function module to get Opening & Beginning stock for a particular material, Plant, storage loc, year and period.

Plant and storage location are multiple entries.

Year and Period are single entries on selection screen.

I need to develop a report which should show the opening and end stock for a given period.

I know the table where in we can get the stock from MARD and MARDH tables.

I know that MB5B is to find the stock.

Vinod,

Unfortunately there is no direct FM to get the opening and closing stocku2026

For calculating stock, for given period, you need to use the Material documents posted in that particular period (you also need to use mseg and mkpf table for document stock) and also consider the movement type for the posted documentu2026 and sum up all the documents and finally you will get the Stock on the periodu2026
