Function Module for getting periods of a given range

Is there any Function Module for getting date periods based on my given input.

inputs:

1. From date

2. End date

3. time unit ( day, monthly or yearly )

Based on time unit give date periods should generate

First of all, STOP with Function Module, it is outdated, now there is Object

Second point, why do you need FM or anything else for thing so simple ?

Any object it can be, just i'm simply searching for is there any FM.

If there is any other Please let me know the object it's also better, not a problem.

FORMs are obsolete. Function Modules aren't. Although classes are better.

In standard SAP there isn't one to my knowledge. Nor a class method.

I'm sure this has been asked before, but if not, the programming required isn't hard. You could write a blog about your experiences, together with the source code for others to use.

'CSCP_PARA1_GET_PERIODS' This FM is working.

OK, fair enough.

Not released and only an ERP FM - not available for example on a BW system. Funnily enough though it uses FM in group STS2 which is a part of the standard ABAP stack.
