Hi ,

I have a query related to <b>Function group of table maintenancegenerator </b>.

1) how do we differentiate between funtion group for table maintenance & funtion module

2) how to handle function group generated by table maintenance during Upgrade.

It means do we have to regenerate function group in the Upgraded system for table maintenance or we just have to take it from the old version of SAP during Upgrade.

Answers will be rewarded.

Thanks & Regards

I am not sure I understood your first question. When you are generating the table maintenance, you will enter a function group name. If the function group already exists, SAP will create the new table maintenance function modules in that group or if it doesn't exist, then it will create the function group and then creates the maintenance modules in that group. Function group is nothing but the collection of all the function modules within it.

Since table maintenance is generated for your Z tables, they will be protected against any upgrades.

Hi,

1) my first question is that is there any way in which we can diffrentiate that a <b>particular fucntion group is for</b> Table maintenance and not for function modules.

2) During the Upgrade, how do we handle function group generated for Table maintenance. so my question is do we regenerate them in the new Upgraded system or we just copy it from old system.

Thanks & Regards

No, Anything you can sssign, there is no particular rule for it.

System will take care since the ystem is generating this fun group, just you copy from the old system.

reward if useful
