FM or class methods for getting windows version

hi mates

my requirement is to get the windows version of my system.

previously gui_get_destop_info with type (8) was serving the purpose, now it is obsolete. can anyone help me with the replacement for this FM.

Hi ,

Which version of SAP you are using .

In ECC 5.0 FM GUI_GET_DESKTOP_INFO WORKS FINE .
