File access fro application server

Hi ,

I have written a program with OPEN dataset etc to read , write file

to application server and it is working fine , but my platform here is AIX.

Now i have some other file which is placed in a shared folder where

the platform is not AIX but Windows.

how do i access the file from that shared folder.

Hi,

Irrespective of the platform, OPEN DATASET should work, provided you have the necessary authorization to read/write to the folder.

If you are able to see those folders in AL11, then you should be able to read/write file.

Hi,
