i am working on a fico report for GL ACCOUNT LEDGER.

in my report opening balance is not coming .

pls help me.

Hi ashok,

if you are reading from table GLT0 (or related tables, GLT*), you should also take into account fields TSLVT/HSLVT/KSLVT. If you are NOT reading from table GLT0, please answer back specifying which table you're reading from, and let's see if we all can help you.

i am not using table glto , i am using bseg and field is dmbtr

Hi ashok,

in table BSEG you'll never find a field for the opening balance. Instead, you'll find the postings for every single posting date. If you want to select the opening balance for an account, you'll have to select all the records from BSEG from the "beginning of the times", that is, with BKPF-BUDAT between '19000101' and the actual posting date, but that can be very time-consuming.

Try to think if selecting from GLT0 fulfils your requirements.
