Feed Barcode data to SAP

Hi Experts,

I have requirement where-in I have to feed in barcode data (containing SAP material number in barcode format in a print paper) to SAP custom table. Please let me, know how to go about this requirement.

Do I need a barcode reader to read the barcode. Then, how do I connect this to my SAP system (what do I need to do in SAP Console), and how do I get the actual SAP material number from the barcode information, so that I can store this to a custom table.

I am new to barcodes... Awaiting your valuable inputs...

Thanks Mr. kk.adhvaryu. I do not require to print SAP data as a barcode, rather I require to capture barcode info into SAP. Moreover, this has nothing to do with Smartforms...
