F4UT_PARAMETER_VALUE_GET - handling patterns

Hi all!

Just a short question: does anybody lnows about a problem that function module F4UT_PARAMETER_VALUE_GET does not work with patterns (option CP in select options), i.e. using wildcarts like 'EN'?? I would like to extract the value of a search help parameter. it works fine for values like 'EN', but not for 'E'.

Execute/test in debug and you should see why... Defining something as a problem without doing the debug to discover what happens in the function, or determining how/why designed as it is, is premature, don't you think? A little research often provides an answer long before you'll get the right reply here...
