Hi,

I want to move LSMW programs from one SAP system to another SAP system.

I know that we can use Export/Import option. I tried but onlt the program is moved and inside none of the steps data are moved. No source structures, relations, fieldmapping are moved.

Can anyone help me with the steps invoved in this?

Thanks

You have to flag them during export...you have to click on the text to make them flagged.

It should work.

if you have transport facility from one system to other system, then create transport requet ,by using utilities ->transport request.

looks lsmw versions are diffrent in one system, that is why export and import not working

Hi,

There are two ways of Transporting for this. Can choose any one.

Goto the LSMW Transaction

1)Extras>Export Projects>(Give the Project name)

In next screen(Choose what subproject, routines, etc.. you wan to copy then, Export Rules-->Export((Will prompt for file name)

A text file will be downloaded.

In the Target System

Goto LSMW Extras-->Import Projects and give the text file which was downloaded.

2)Extras-->Generate Change Request

Assign a change request which is basically a transport request and you can then get this transported from one system to another through the basis route.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Simha.

hi,

make use of transporting:

Transport LSMW Projects

The LSM Workbench provides data transport for a project via both the R/3 transport system and down-/upload. (Excluded are the presettings for IDoc inbound processing. These presettings should be manually created in every R/3 system and every client.)

Generate Change Request

Choosing this function creates an R/3 change request containing all information about an LSMW project. This R/3 change request can be exported / imported with the usual means of R/3 correction and transporting. You can find this function in the initial screen under Extras -> Create change request.

When transporting LSMW data this way, you can trace the transports any time in R/3 correction and transporting.

Note 1: When importing such a request, the complete project is deleted from the target system first. It is then created again.

Note 2: When exporting the transport request, all changes to the selected project made until the time of export are entered (not only until the time of creation of the transport request.)

Hi,

In the Initial screen , that is in the screen of PROJ,SUBPROJ & OBj .. goto the menu bar EXTRAS--> EXPORT PROJECT .. now it will ask the project name ..mention ur proj name & list of subproj & obj will be displayed ...select which are all subproj & obj needs to be selcted. ( note : the selected will have a RIGHT mark symbol )

For Subproj .. look at ur subproj name ..click on the short description of the subproj & click on the button Select / Deselect pushbutton on the left most corner in the appln tool bar -- if u have Selected means ARROW mark will be there & it will be exported & if there is no ARROW mark means, it has not been selected.

Follow the same steps for the objects also.& store the text files in the desktop

same steps u follow in other system ,now do import from the desktop.

reward points if it is useful

Thanks,
