Hello Everyone,
Please help me on the following problem.
I imported my package which consists of 2 reports, one module pool and one copied standard Function Group consisiting of 3 FM's from my DEV server to Quality Server using Tranport Request(Co files and Data files) It was successful.
However due to some reasons , i need to delete everyting from Quality Server.
So i again created a new request and assigned everything again to this new request. But now some objects are imported like Reports but module pool and Function Group incudind FM's are not imported...
Can anyone tell me why?
And What should i do in this case?

Hi Suruchi,
Was there any error while transporting your second request?
If no, then, please check the objects of your second request. If the Function group is part of it then all the objects will be available in Quality.
Also, for any function module (FM) the entire Function Group(FG) is transported. So, ensure that the entire FG is active or else you will get errors while transporting.
As far as Module Pool, try to activate your package from SE80 and cross - check with the contents of your Trnasport Request Task. It will work.
Regards,
Pranav.

Yes when i tried to import the Request and checked the logs, it says Error.
The Log is like.
Selection for Import 17.08.2011 17:03:13 (0) Successfully Completed
Import ABAP Dictionary Objects 17.08.2011 17:03:28 (0) Successfully Completed
ABAP Dictionary Activation 17.08.2011 17:03:36 (4) Ended with Warning
Import 17.08.2011 17:03:59 (8) Ended with errors
Check Versions 17.08.2011 17:04:00 (0) Successfully Completed
Generation of Programs and Screens 17.08.2011 17:04:06 (4) Ended with Warning
I have checked everything for Module Pool also as well as for FG but i am unable to understand te problem.
My one colleague is saying you need to have a new name for each object.

Your information so far is rather unclear.
To delete things from the quality instance, you have to delete all of them in development - recorded against a transport - then releases the transport and take it to quality.
Have you done this?
Now. Drill down (double click) on the "Import" step, and find the line(s) highlighted in red. What do they say?

Yes, When i deleted all objects From Quality Server, it asked me a Request. I released that Request also.
My question is first time when i imported the objects, the import was successfull and all objects were present in my Quality Server but second time, when i tried to do the same process some objects were not imported why??

Hi,
why don't you reimport your 1st transport request into your quality server?

Klaus

The answer to your why is as suggested by Matt.
In T.Code SE09, check the details of your Transport Request (TR). The TR has a detailed log associated with it which gives error details. You need to click on the script icon and expand the log for your TR.
You can also try by resending the FG request by ensuring that the object type is R3TR in the Request Task. Double click on your task and check if it is LIMU or R3TR.

i Cant... Have some issues with that.
Please help me on that.
Only the function Modules and Module Pool screens, Pf status are not imported.
But all Reports , includes of Module Pool are imported successfully...

Well, it would be better if you could post the detailed error log or the red line of the TR error.
Also, if possible, I would recommend you to create a new package (new names) with the FG and all the FM's. Add the Module Pool's and PF status and then transport.

Hey the Problem is resolved. i did it by my own. Actualy the FG were deleted but they were assigned to some other package.
