Error while creating Message for extended Idoc

Hi Experts,

I am getting an error while creating an message type for extended I-Doc .

Please check screenshot below for error .

I followed below procedure.

1.created custom segment in WE30 and released.

2.created an extended I-doc and relesed in WE31 and released.

Still I am getting error, i am hintless.please suggest any changes if needed.

You created an extension INVOIC02 ! It should be ZINVOIC02 (because it's a customer name).

Then enter the extension ZINVOIC02 instead of ZVBRK_2 ? (the latter is a segment type)

Sandra is right, extension should start with Z... (I'm actually not sure why it's allowed otherwise). If you used SE16 to check the table referenced in the message (EDCIM) you would've seen what the issue was.

This also seems like a good opportunity to shamelessly pimp my book that describes the IDoc extension in detail and Kindle price is more than reasonable.
