Hello All,

While adding a new key field to custom table, I am unable to activate it. I tried to activate it using SE14 as well.

The activation error received is : "Primary key change not permitted for value table". Could anybody help in this direction?

Note: Did not get any proper thread to solve this issue.

Regards,

Ansh

Hi Anshika,

I think You are changing the Primary Key of custom table, and your table contains values.

So it is not possible to change the Primary key while table contains value.

Thanks

HI anshika,

The current table might have been used as check table in some other custom table which you have created earlier. So first delete the that foreign key first and again activate the current table. Also make sure that there is no value in the current table as you are changing the primary key.

It will not show any error then .

Pramod,

Deleting the existing data from a Custom table is not advisable.By your option we may not have any issue in D and Q but in P if the existing data in the Z table gets deleted it will be a problem. Not a right option for this.
