Dear Alex,

unfortunately that is a known issue. When you've configured your backend connection in SAP Logon using an IP Address then ABAP in Eclipse replaces the first part of the IP Address with the Hostname of the backend system. A workaround for this issue is to edit your hosts file and maintain an alias that points to the IP Address of the backend system.

Best regards

Gregor

This issue is resolved in the most recent version of ADT (2.0.2). With this version you can use IP addresses in your SAPlogon again.

Thanks Jeroen, but I'm using a ADT trial version.

Hi Alex,

You are right. The ADT 'trial' version on this page: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/index?rid=/webcontent/uuid/1024acfb-5b30-2e10-f2bd-ccce5d8692b1 is outdated. If you (or a colleague) has access to service.sap.com/swdc you can download the most recent version by searching for eclipse 2.

Best regards,

Jeroen
