For this you can go via events.
1. Transaction SE54
2. Z Table name
3. Menupath: Environment-> Events
4. Click on New Entries in application toolbar
5. Select the option of when you need to validate
6. Give a Form Routine Name
7. Enter
8. Now click on editor and proceed.
Hope this helps.

Hi Srihitha
Please make a habit of rewarding points for the queries you have raised for the effort friends here keep in answering the queries.
Like Max had exactly pointed you the event name to use... So do respect their posts by rewarding some points.

Hi,
I have followed the same procedure till creating the Subroutines for 05 Status. But when I click on the Editor after saving, it takes me to the ABAP editor and asks me to key in some code. Now, I would like to know the procedure to override the standard SAP messages and create my own messages when the table is being maintained or the entries are being created.
Thanks.

Hi
On the left of every answer you should see several radiobuttons to assign the points: find the answers more helpful for you and reward them:
Blue star means "Solved problem": 10 points.
Green star means "Very helpful answer": 6 points
Yellow star means "Helpful answer": 2 points
