Error in Control Framework : Spool Download

Hello Experts,

while downloading a spool list in .txt format to desktop using normal download button in SP01, one particular user getting error 'Error in Control Framework'  after selecting destination path and name.

Any suggestions please ?

Hi Raj,

Check if user has necessary Authorization for downloading the file. In such cases, error will be wierd. Try assiging all the roles of a user who is able to download the file to that user and ask him to try again.

You can also check SU53 details for that user after the error.

User has authorizations required and this problem is On and Off and not able to simulate at our end.

If the issue persists, take the help from Basis consultant. It seems, the concerned user is working on different SAPGUI patch.

I checked GUI patches its latest one only .

Hi,

Compare the GUI patch version between the systems ( one where everything is okay and the issue prone one ).

Once a very senior basis consultant advised me to always work on a patch level   one lower than the latest one . ( Latest one generally takes contains some bugs, takes time to evolve and stabilize )
