Hi,
Not sure whether this is the right forum to ask this question.
With the recent concept of Enhancement Packages is SAP planning the next release (maybe ERP 7.0 or ECC 7.0)? If yes, any idea when is it like to be released?
Or with this concept of Enhancement Packages SAP is altogether doing away with the concept of releases?
Also does SAP charge for these enhancement packages?

Jayesh

Hi Check the info below,
The first enhancement package(EHP1) was released to customers in December 2006. Customers began downloading the second package(EHP2) in July 2007. First customers are already implementing the third package(EHP3), which is expected to be fully released later in Spring 2008.
The fourth enhancement package ( EHP4 ) will be in ramp-up stage from November of this year and will be available in completion from year 2009 .
Hope this helps,
Murthy.

Hi,
Upgradation is importertent in the context where the client is working on lower versions and wants to have features such as web enabled business docs such as ADOBE forms etc. Then he must upgrade to a version atleast to ECC6.0.
There is no need for separate license for an enhancement packages, it is cowered under your maintenance agreement.
SAP will maintain enhancement packages for as long as SAP maintains the release upon which the enhancement package is based.
SAP recommends installing the enhancement package for SAP ERP when performing a regular SP stack implementation.
Note: SP stack implementation are set of support packages and patches for the respective product version that must be used in given combination.
Hope this info helps you,
Murthy.

Thanks Murthy.
However if you navigate to the below link, you will find that the 1st EHP was released in Feb 2008, so there seems to be some confusion.
Also any idea when the next EHP (no 5) will be released?
