Eclipse Plugin - Update issue

Hello,

i have tried to update my Eclipse ADT Installation and i receive the following error:

Cannot complete the install because of a conflicting dependency.

  Software being installed: ABAP CDS Modeler 2.24.0 (com.sap.adt.tools.cds.modeler.feature.group 2.24.0)

  Software currently installed: ABAP Core Development Tools (Developer Edition) 2.19.7 (com.sap.adt.core.devedition.feature.group 2.19.7)

  Only one of the following can be installed at once:

    Destinations Plug-in 2.24.0 (com.sap.adt.destinations 2.24.0)

    Destinations Plug-in 2.19.4 (com.sap.adt.destinations 2.19.4)

  Cannot satisfy dependency:

    From: CDS DDL Graphical Editor 2.24.0 (com.sap.adt.cds.ddl.modeler.ui 2.24.0)

    To: bundle com.sap.adt.destinations [2.23.0,3.0.0)

  Cannot satisfy dependency:

    From: ABAP Core Development Tools (Developer Edition) 2.19.7 (com.sap.adt.core.devedition.feature.group 2.19.7)

    To: com.sap.adt.core.feature.group [2.19.7]

  Cannot satisfy dependency:

    From: ABAP Core Development Tools 2.19.7 (com.sap.adt.core.feature.group 2.19.7)

    To: com.sap.adt.fwk.ci.feature.group [2.19.4]

  Cannot satisfy dependency:

    From: ABAP Communication Framework 2.19.4 (com.sap.adt.fwk.ci.feature.group 2.19.4)

Any ideas?

Hello Christian,

I was able to reproduce the issue. You have tried to update a version installed from the Update Site with the one offered in the Service Marketplace. This does not work. You need to install version 2.24 into a fresh/plain Eclipse or you wait until 2.24 becomes available on the Update Site (planned for the end of this week).

Hello Felix,

my installation is linked to the update-site. The Version 2.19.6 was also installed by using the update-site. There was no manual installation inside this Eclipse Version.

Version 2.24 has been made available on the Update Site today.

Does the update work from there?

Hi Felix,

i have build up a new installation based on eclipse kepler sr2.

Putting the update site in the update manager all works fine.
