Eclipse does not open a function file

Hello experts, I am new to SAP(ABAP) and I have configured my development environment in:

Eclipse IDE for Java Developers

Version: 2024-12 (4.34.0)

Eclipse allows me to view any type of files but when I try to open a function file it throws the following exception.
