Currently we are using a middleware. SAP sends a trigger to the middleware, which inturn contacts the non-sap system, picks up the data and dumps the data in our staging tables. This is a custom development.

However, my requirement is to eliminate this middleware totally, so that SAP could directly fetch the data into the staging tables from the non-sap system without the middleware.

fyi.. the views/tables in SAP exactly match the views in non-sap system.

How do I proceed? Should I use XI or is there any plugin available in ECC5.0

Hope XI is the only option to eliminate the external Middleware. Can any one throw some more light on it?

Hi..

to figure out whether the Xi is installed in your system or not? check this way.

run we21 this is the transaction for ports, we21 check is there ne port is maintained for XI or nt..i f you have this thing means you have system with XI. also check with basis people. as XI is seprate licence service we need to purchase it sepretly. generally companies have this thing clubed with central component. i hope it will work for you,,, i advice you to check with basis also.
