i want to upload master data using ecatt. please help me whether i have to do the recording by own or is there any standard recording sap is giving.sap is giving the

format of the data in best line business practices.but recording i dint find there Any body please help me.

Hi Sreejith!

I made some eCATT recordings and we very likely will use this tool in case of urgent master data corrections.

But for a planned master data upload I strongly recommend LSMW. It's easier to use and designed for this purpose. ECATT is more a testing tool.

In LSMW you can use a lot of predefined creation mechanism, define some rules for conversion and it's often much faster then eCATT.

Hi Sreejith,

In eCATT you can do recordning for transactions.

In the first screen of SECATT tvode seelct Test script

radio button press create give som ename and

select <b>Pattern</b> in the application toll bar

Here give command 'TCD' and Transaction for which you

want to record.

Then you can record the transaction.I have sent one

doc to your mail ID please check.

You need to enter your data in Test dat container.

But using CATTs directly you can upload file info and

create master data also.
