eCATT for ITS based applications

Is eCATT recordings / testing possible for ITS based applications?. If yes, could you please list out the limitations also if possible.

I for sure know that eCATT does not support BSP applications but about ITS .... I m not sure

Hoping for some replies ....

Btw, are there any other tools out in the market that help in the testing of ITS based applications?

How about Watir? (Refer : /people/justin.ramel/blog/2006/07/28/automated-functional-testing--part-1-of)

Hi prasad,

Since ITS invloves converting GUI to HTML, eCATT does not support ITS based applications.

Yes, eCATT supports only SAPGUI for Windows or Java but not HTML.

I was wondering about a certified tool with eCATT / completely different tool which does support ITS based applications for recording and testing.

Any thoughts on this?

Hi prasad,

i can think testpartner and QTP as the only certified tools with eCATT ,

I am sure, both can support HTML or ITS applications.

Worksoft Certify is also integrable now with eCATT. I just set it up for one of my clients recently.

Hey Guyzz....

Thanks for your inputs on other integrable tools (certified by SAP too) with eCATT for testing SAPGUI with HTML (ITS).

Justin, Did you setup worksoft certify with ecatt for ITS applications?. Also, can it support recordings of BSP and webdynpro applications?.

Worksoft Certify support ITS applications as well as well as BSP and Web Dynpro. Tests created against SAP GUI can be run against ITS rendered SAP GUI for HTML in a portal. Business Suite 7 HTML applications are also supported.
