EC30 modification. need help please?

hi,

in EC30, my client wants to update another tcode when the user clicks SAVE on top. the first thing that came to my mind was to edit/use GUI status. i checked for available exits and i found three: ECSIFDI1, EDISCVAR and EL590001. i put break-points in all of them but nothing happened. i think these exits are not for EC30, am i right?

if there are no exits, what approach would you recommend in order for me to accomplish the task? i thought about using BADI but do i need an exit in order to be able to create a BADI?

Did you ever find a solution to your problem above?

My client is asking to enhance the EC30 to idd also call another program when saving in the EC30.
