Dynamic Input Help or Check Table in Custom Table

Hi,

I created a custom table with two fields, field A & field B. Field A can have values like BUKRS, BELNR, BUDAT, GJAHR etc... Now how can I make Field B's input help or check table dynamic depending on the value of Field A?

For example

1.) Field A is BUKRS, when I press F4 in Field B a pop up with a list of company code should display. or Field A is BELNR, when I press F4 in Field B a pop up with a list of document number should display.

Hi,

Through programatically only its possible its not possible from SE11 while creating table...

in the program

declare these four fields as input parameters...

then

at selection-screen on value-request for field B.
if fieldA = 'BUKRS'.
  select query to fetch list of company codes
  call function 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'....." passing the values fetch from select query in 
" internal table
elseif fieldA = 'BELNR'.
  select query to fetch list of document
  call function 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'....." passing the values fetch from select query in 
" internal table
endif.

Yes, but the requirement is maintaining the custom table using SM30. From there we need to have a dynamic F4 for Field B depending on the value of Field A.

An option..

Go to Table maintanence generator - Environment - Modifications - Events

Choose Appropriate Event. Form Name and Source code(U can write above suggested code within FORM ENDFORM in the newly created include) Keep Break points to identify

If suitable Events not available,

Creating POV in the flow logic of the TMG screen is an option (not sure on this..though)

Not sure this will work , but you can give it a try :

Once the table maintenance is generated , you can go to the function group you created for this table maintenance, and you will find the screen generated as part of this.

You can edit this screen and add code as you wish, so you can try calling the search help function modules mentioned above based on conditions.
