Dynamic date calculation in variants

Dear Experts,

I have a question relating to "Current Date" variable, in dynamic selection variant, which is not clear enough to me.

For example:

- My application server is at time stamp UTC+7

- and I have a job scheduled at 00:00am by an user account with time stamp UTC+2 (in user profile > defaults tab)

Suppose that current date in application server is 06 Sept. Then what date is returned via "Current Date" variable variant if the job is executed? It would be 05 Sept (at 07:00pm) or 06 Sept (at 00:00am)?

My concern is the "Current Date" will be simply application server's date, or will be adjusted by user profile who is set up to run the background job?

In my opinion, is application server time....

Anyway, you can make a try in develop system....

Hi,

No, it's based on user's time zone. We had an issue with a Brazilian user who scheduled a job, with dynamic date "today", which ran at French time June 24, 4:00 AM, which is Application server's time, and the program replaced the date with the date of the user's time zone, which was June 23, 10:00 PM. The solution was to schedule with a French user (a technical user in fact).

You posted the initial question as , but are now answering as Only the id that posted the question can give points.

The first seems to be your P logon and the second your logon at your employer. Please let me know which ID you wish to keep, and we shall merge them.
