Downloading into spreadsheet

I have a transaction which I ran in background and its in the spool. How do I download that into excel.

You can simply display the spool, then save it as a local file, save it as a regular text file. Now open Excel, click open, and open the text file from there, know go thru the steps to separate the columns of your data.

Hi,

If you just want to download manually to excel sheet...

Goto transaction SP01.

Select the Spool Request and click Display.

Menu path SYSTEM->LIST->SAVE->LOCAL FILE and choose Spreadsheet.

If you want to do this programmatically...

Use FM BAPI_XBP_JOB_SPOOLLIST_READ to read the spool request data.

Use FM GUI_DOWNLOAD to download data to Exccel.

Still not able to do what I need. I have a transaction which runs for 30 minutes in foreground with results of 20 to 30 pages.

I would liek to run this in Background and then display the CONTENT of the file into a spreadheet.

When I go to SM37 and say save as local file, Its giving me the spool details..

Please help
