What is the significance of Using Data Elements and Domains in creating Foreign keys.

We can create a field even without using Data Elements and Domains, can we make such fields as Foreign keys?

Hi,

The main criteria of creating Domains and Data elemnts is to relate tables .i.e through foreign key relatiopn ships.

the next is reusability

we cannot create foreign key relatiopn ships without having dataelements

Hi,

The data elements have the characterstics or attributes of the particular fields so without that you cannot make a field a foreign key.

Yes you can create fields without using data elements using the predefined button but you would not be able to make then foreign keys.
