Hi All ,
I know RFC is used for communications between two independent SAP systems, or for communications between an SAP system and a non-SAP system, such as an external application.
But It can also be used for communications between modules on the same system.
Can any one explain why we need a RFC with in a same system ???
Thanks & Regards,
G. Anil kumar

Some Companies may prefer some modules to be separeted from other modules, and when ever they require data from that they use RFC as it provides a restricted access.
Ex:- Defence equipment manufacturing companies, NASA etc.
correct me if i am wrong

Hi,
I will explain you with an example. A bapi function module can be enabled as remote enabled and this can be created in SE37 tcode
This rfc can be used or called in SWO1 tcode for creating business objects. So in this way we use rfc's in same system.
