why sap stored BSEG table as cluster table ,

is there any specific reason .

plz tell me if any body knows ,

BSEG is already around since early R/3 days (probably R/2). I guess SAP rightly assumed that it's gonna a be big one in many installations and decided to store it as a cluster table, which is more space efficient than a transparent table. Same with e.g. table CDPOS.

Of course we all know the drawbacks, no joins possible, no secondary index, no data adjusting after table changes.

Let's wait for a more profound answer.
