Hello to all. I am getting the following message when I am trying extract data from my custom datasource in BI 7.0 in the Infopackage:

You are not authorized to extract from DataSource ZMATERIAL in

application component: ZMARA .

There is a role template S_RO_OSOA_TMPL (DataSource (OSOA)

Display/Maintain/Extract) available that contains the authorizations to

display, change and extract all DataSources.

Procedure for System Administration

There is a role template S_RO_OSOA_TMPL (DataSource (OSOA)

Display/Maintain/Extract) available that contains the authorizations to

display, change and extract all DataSources.

How can I fix this problem.

I did not find the template you have mentioned as I might be on a different release. But here are the authorizations you would need in your role

S_RS_ADMBW with actvt 03,23 & Administrator Workbench - Objects -Infopackag

S_RS_ISOUR with actvt 03,23, 66.

Also, there is an additional setting in transaction SBIW where you can exclude datasources from extraction.

In SBIW, go to General settings-> limit authorizations for extractions. You can delete the entry for the datasource

if an entry is even made. Hope this helps.

Hi Puneet,

you are missing authorization for the below object

S_RO_OSOA SAP DataSource Authorizations

still you have issue put the Trace from ST01 and check with object is missing
