does any abap developer before sending any unit test document ,requires to release any task or will he do any transport activity.explain in detail.

The transport management is primarily an <b>organizational matter</b>.

If the transport management is well and strictly organized then developers are not allowed to release their transport requests without confirming that they have done their functional tests (like ABAP Unit Tests, eCATT, etc.).

In the QA (quality assurance) system the "business" testing has to be done. If functional and business testing are both successful then the request can be transported to production.

If developers are allowed to transport their requests themselves without any additional checks done by others then this kind of transport "management" is still at a messy and very risky status.
