Documentation question...

Hi all,

While attending a class in Newtown an instructor suggested there is documentation available for SAP authored function modules. So, my question is this...I'm using function module md_mrp_list_api and I'm interested in reading some documentation...where or from who would I request such a thing if it actually existed?

thanks,

Mat

Open the function in SE37 and click on "function module documentation".

But I´m sorry, for your function, there is no documentation available.

I see...I see. SAP is some big help. Why in the world would they author any code without supporting documentation? I could never get away with that My guess is the developer is just suppossed to know what this stuff does...some sort of intuition I should have or something?

Tha is a question, you´ll never get answered!

I have had problems with some functions many times, because they were

very big... But no way.... Mostly you don´t have any documentation...

Good luck with finding examples for that function anywhere else.

Hi,

Not all Function modules will have the Documentation.

SAP Generally provides documentation for those function modules which are meant for Generic services.

Function modules which have some Functional significane may or may not have the documentation.

You can check for function module documention in Tcode Se37.

Sesh
