Hello everyone,
I have a slightly perplexing issue that is causing me some strife. I am attempting to do a material master load via direct input in LSMW. The process works great and most of the 1.1 million records get in. I get an error log of the material that do not load, which is as expected.
My problem is that I have no way of saving, or downloading the log files with the errors so that I can send it to the business.
Going through the menu path System->List->Save->Local file is grayed out. There is not button on the interface that allows for download. I am perplexed as to how to get this data to the business. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
FYI. I Run the Data load through the LSMW transaction, and it calls program RMDATIND which is run in foreground.
Regards,
Christopher

If you press the "Print" button, is a report generated? If so, you can save and send that.

Thank you for the quick response Rob,
The Print Button is Grayed out as well.
The only buttons that are not Grayed out are as follows:
Green Check --> Enter
Green Back --> Back
Yellow Up --> Exit
Red X --> Cancel
Create New Session
Generate Shortcut
and Customize Local Layout.
I was hoping that Customize Local Layout would hold the answer to my problem, but I have yet to find an answer.

Hello Everyone,
Both SLG1 and SM21 do not allow me to find a log of the LSMW Direct Input for the MM load.
Of note, when I ran SLG1 wide open, and got results (Not the results I was looking for), I decided to check to see if I could go into System, List, Save, Local File and again it was grayed out. Could it possibly be setting that are not allowing me to do this?
Thank you for all your suggestions, hopefully soon this can get figured out.

Christopher

The Issue Has been Resolved.
Basically I needed to schedule the job via T-Code BMV0. This allowed the job to be run in background(added bonus), as well as providing a method(Spool) to save the error log. I never did find a way to output the foreground run output into a spool or and local file, but this serves the purpose well enough.
