Hi,

I would like to know the difference between system log and application log.

Also when to use which log ?

Hi,

In General perspective Logs are files which stores information on what happened when, so that if something happens wrong you can find the cause using the log.

If some transaction failed throwing termination error, you should check for logs in SM21 to find out the cause and ST22 to find out the other details.
