difference between sm30 and se16

can any one tell the exact difference between se16 and sm30 , what actually they arre used for

SM30 is used for maintaining the database tables, like creating entries, modifying them and deleting them

SE16 is for table entries display.

Eventhough you are able to create and modify entries from SE16, you can do it on record at a time. Using SM30 you can do bulk modifications

Hi,

SE16 - You can see the content only in display mode. Cant insert new records. Cant modify existing records. Cant delete any records

SM30 - You can see the content in EDIT mode, can insert/modify/delete records.

SE16 is for table entries display. it is standard list

SM30 is used for maintaining the database tables, like creating entries, modifying them and deleting them

after creating the tables u maintin them in sm30.

SE16 - You can see the content, Cant insert new records. Cant modify existing records.Basically it is a object browser.

SM30 - You can see the content , but can insert/modify/delete records, in this we have the data range also( with the restriction, enter condition and varient)
