Hi,

There are relatively few technical differences between 46B and 46C. However the jump to 4.7 and ECC Enterprise was a major change to the underlying technology.

SAP changed syntax to support Unicode. They also added the WebAS layer (HTTP, SMTP support - the BSP programming environment, etc). Also new features have been introduced in the form of classes/methods, Unicode check, Code Inspector/SCOV, extended SE80, XSLT, New package concept.

To know the differences in each release, please check this link.

Hope this will help.

Hi

<b>Difference Between 4.6b,4.6c and ECC systems:</b>

4.6b has only SAPScript and 4.6c have both SAPScript and SMARTFORMS.

Moreover 4.6b/4.6c/4.x are SAP R/3 Systems.

But ECC(Enterprise Core Components) is a combination of (SAP R/3,SAP CRM and SAP BW Systems).

Cheers,

Abdul Hakim

Hi,

the SDN Guru Thomas Jung has created a good document to show the new features in ABAP from 46C to 640.

<a href="/people/thomas.jung3/blog/2005/05/15/abap-46c-to-640-delta-training 46C to 640 Delta Training</a>

This weblog contains a link to download the documentation.

I found this document very usefull.

Regards,

Stefan
