hi folks,

I need to add a new 'text element' to the screen and I am using Screen painter SE51 but the graphical Screen painter tool is not showing up to create that text element. How can i do that?

Thanks

Vinu

Hi,

Goto utilities --> settings --> Screen Painter(Tab),

Check the Box "Graphical layout editor".

If you are clicking the Layout button and not getting the graphical screen editor, then first check, Utitlities, Settings, make sure that the checkbox for Graphical screen editor is checked, if it is and you still don't get the editor, then you might not have it installed, it is a component of the SAPgui and needs to be loaded. Get a hold of a sapgui installation disc and choose the component.

Thanks for the info. It tells me that the Graphical layout editor not available but gives a alpha numeric editor and I figured it using that to create it.

Right, so the Graphical editor is not installed, if you can get a SAPgui installation cd, you can load the component, under development tools.

Hi,

Please reinstall the SAP-GUI. When you re-instal try to select all the option which will ask you during installation for safer side.

Hi,

Sometime even though you correctly installed and switched on graphical screen painter it's not possible to run it because of your network limitations.

Please have a look at note:

101971 - 37527 Graphics full screen does not exist (RFC)
